Peer teaching in progress
Research has shown that students learn effectively from 'more capable peers' (Vygotsky, 1978, p. 86). This philosophy was used very effectively by Mr Berry in his Year 7 and 8 PET class, where the Year 8 students taught their Year 7 peers how to answer Part 5 of the PET Reading and Writing examination. The picture below shows the students in action.
